Drinker Biddle Expands Litigation Group With Addition of Sandra Dawn Grannum

Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP has strengthened its financial services litigation experience with the addition of Sandra Dawn Grannum as partner in the Litigation Group. She will reside in the firm’s Florham Park, N.J. office.

Ms. Grannum's practice focuses on securities litigation, arbitration, employment law, mediation, broker/dealer and regulatory litigation for FINRA matters. Throughout her career, she has handled a variety of complex general litigation matters, including shareholder claw back and takeover/business judgment rule cases, employment discrimination and securities litigation.

She also has experience with employment arbitrations and administrative hearings. She has represented a number of corporate clients in federal courts across the country and before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) as well as state divisions and human rights commissions.

“Sandy is an accomplished trial lawyer who has led litigation cases as both in-house and outside counsel. We’re excited to have her join the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.” said Michael W. McTigue Jr., Executive Partner and Chair of the Litigation Group. “Sandra’s securities litigation, broker/dealer and FINRA experience will contribute to the continued growth of our financial services litigation practice.”

Most recently, Ms. Grannum was as a managing partner at Davidson & Grannum, a law firm she started with a former PainWebber/UBS colleague. She began her career as a litigation associate at the New York law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore before moving to Tenzer Greenblatt to practice securities litigation. She later moved in-house to PaineWebber (now UBS Financial Services) where she eventually became a Senior Vice President and Senior Associate General Counsel.

Ms. Grannum earned her law degree from Harvard Law School and her bachelor’s degree from New York University.
