Ken Vorrasi Quoted in The Deal Pipeline

Washington, D.C., partner Ken Vorrasi, was quoted in a Deal Pipeline article titled, “In some competition cases, competition doesn’t count.”

The article discusses the pending $8.2 billion deal by Sysco Corp. to buy its competitor US Foods Inc., which is currently being litigated by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to block the merger on antitrust grounds.  The article discusses two similar deals that were cleared by the antitrust regulators after parties successfully showed that the competitive environment changed over time or that the merging parties’ customers were being serviced by new or additional competitors.
