Sarah Bassler Millar Quoted in Human Resource Executive Online

Partner and vice chair of the firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Group Sarah Bassler Millar was quoted in a Human Resource Executive Online article titled, “Seeking Clarity on Privacy.” The article examined a new rule proposed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to provide a clearer framework for employers to collect information on employees’ spouses.

Sarah discussed how “the real potential impact is that there have been some questions in the past around this issue, relative to spouses.” She also explained that spouses being on a medical plan can be a “big driver of the cost for the plan” and that this proposed rule “makes it possible for plan sponsors to engage the spouse in a meaningful way.”
