Walker, O'Connor and Bylund Named 2012 BTI Client Service All-Stars

Faegre Baker Daniels partners Kim Walker, Patrick O'Connor, and Jacob Bylund have been named BTI Client Service All-Stars for 2012. This elite recognition is reserved for lawyers who deliver superior service to clients at Fortune 1000 companies and other large organizations. Out of 169 top national law firms included, only 58 law firms had multiple All-Stars. The all-star team is comprised of lawyers of top national law firms with leading approaches to legal services and total commitment to client needs—all at a time when budgets for outside counsel are shrinking and client expectations of law firms are growing.

"The 2012 BTI Client Service All-Stars are identified solely and exclusively by corporate counsel," BTI says of its methodology. "The only way to be included in The BTI Client Service All-Stars is through an unprompted, unequivocal recommendation from corporate counsel. No law firm or attorney can submit a name or pay to be included on this list or submit corporate counsel names to be interviewed."

Named a second year in a row and listed in the top 30 as a Super All Star, Kim Walker's national practice focuses primarily on agribusiness and antitrust litigation. He also heads up the firm's national food and agriculture industry team of more than 120 lawyers. His clients include international food and agricultural companies, and he is a frequent speaker and writer in these industries.

Pat O'Connor represents clients in the areas of construction, suretyship and insurance. He is a co-author of Bruner & O'Connor on Construction Law, an eight-volume construction law treatise, and he acts as a mediator, arbitrator and expert witness in construction disputes. He works closely with a number of construction industry organizations and is former adviser to the American Law Institute's Restatement of the Law Third, Suretyship and Guaranty.

Jacob Bylund is named as a top litigator on the BTI list. He is a member of the firm's food and agriculture industry team. He has worked on behalf of agribusiness and renewable fuels companies in the areas of products liability, contracts and contracts litigation, debtor-creditor litigation and counseling, intellectual property litigation, renewable energy, environmental and nuisance law litigation and counseling, and antitrust and trade regulation.

The BTI Consulting Group is a leading provider of strategic market research to law firms. Over the last 11 years, they have interviewed more than 3,100 corporate counsel. This year, they interviewed more than 240 corporate counsel from large and Fortune 1000 companies to probe at all aspects of client relationships.
