Baker & Daniels Partner Named to Indianapolis Economic Development, Inc.

Baker & Daniels LLP partner Trevor J. Belden has been appointed to Indianapolis Economic Development, Inc. (IEDI) by Mayor Greg Ballard. Belden is one of seven board appointments made by Mayor Ballard.
IEDI was established as a not-for-profit to help shape economic development policy and market Marion County to growing businesses. The group is a spinoff of the Indy Partnership, which promotes the central Indiana region, and includes representatives from Baker & Daniels, Roche Diagnostics, the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership, Carrier Corporation, the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, BioCrossroads and Eli Lilly and Co. The board also includes representatives from the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, the deputy mayor for economic workforce development and IEDI executive director Jeb Conrad.
Belden is a member of Baker & Daniels' life sciences and corporate practices. He counsels a wide variety of clients through corporate and commercial transactions, focusing on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and entrepreneurship. Belden is a co-founder and chairman of Indy Hub, was named to the Indianapolis Business Journal's "Forty Under 40" in 2007 and has received a number of other honors and recognitions for his contributions to both the field of law and the Indianapolis community.
