Trevor Belden Receives Young Professional Award

Trevor Belden of Baker & Daniels LLP was the recipient of a Young Professional of the Year Award from the Young Professionals of Central Indiana (YPCI) during a gala event recently.

YPCI, Indiana's leading business organization for young professionals, gave Young Professional of the Year Awards to five individuals. The award recognizes outstanding achievements in professional excellence, leadership and civic involvement within Central Indiana.

Belden, a Baker & Daniels associate, focuses his law practice in counseling clients through a variety of corporate and commercial transactions, including financial matters, mergers and acquisitions, and entrepreneurship. He has represented public and private corporations, venture capital firms, commercial lenders and universities.

Belden is active in a number of entrepreneurship initiatives and a volunteer speaker at conferences. He chairs the board of Indy Hub, a not-for-profit organization connecting and engaging young professionals in the Indianapolis area. Belden also is a member of the Penrod Society, which supports the cultural and educational activities of Indianapolis area artists, students and arts organizations.

Belden earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2000. He received a bachelor's degree from Purdue University, graduating with highest distinction.
