Health Plan Alliance Launches new Medicare Advantage Consortium

The Health Plan Alliance supports nearly 50 regional health plans in non-competing markets and they recently collaborated with Faegre Drinker Consulting and another consulting group to launch the Medicare Advantage Supplemental Benefits Consortium (MASBC) for plan year 2024. The MASBC for plan year 2024 will broadly focus on product innovation, as well as Medicare Advantage strategic bid work, with consortium activities beginning in June 2022 and continuing through the end of the year. The consortium model features member-to-member collaboration among community-based Medicare Advantage plans across the country, data-driven case studies from vendors specializing in supplemental benefit administration, and a pilot project on supplemental benefits analytics reporting, benchmarking and analysis.
