Health benefits company Anthem Inc. completed its acquisition of myNEXUS, a comprehensive home-based nursing management company that serves payors by helping them effectively plan for and optimize home care. Faegre Drinker represented Anthem in the deal. The transaction supports Anthem’s strategy to deliver whole-person care and a seamless end-to-end experience to help improve outcomes, reduce readmissions, and improve members’ and their families’ experience of well-being. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
myNEXUS, which will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Anthem and whose associates with join Anthem’s Diversified Business Group, delivers integrated clinical support services for approximately 1.7 million Medicare Advantage members across 20 states. It offers a user-friendly digital platform that combines an advanced analytic rules engine with a clinical staff of over 250 clinicians, and enables providers to automate the home visit authorization process, speed up time to care, increase provider effectiveness and improve member satisfaction. myNEXUS has also established a nationwide network of high-performing home health providers and nurse agencies, including nine of the top 10 highest-quality national and local providers.
