An oncology practice investigated and reported a phishing incident that involved potential access to the protected health information (PHI) of more than 500,000 of its patients located in jurisdictions across the U.S. Our firm supervised the investigation and coordinated the overall strategy for dealing with simultaneous government and regulatory inquiries, private party lawsuits, and disputes with vendors and third parties related to privacy and cybersecurity rights and obligations.
