Reinsurer Receives Long-Term Care Insurance Counsel

LTC Reinsurance PCC (LTC Re), a reinsurer created in late 2016 to oversee the run-off of a block of long-term care insurance for a business that had been placed in liquidation, receives a broad range of counsel from Faegre Drinker’s long-term care insurance team. Faegre Drinker has served as outside general counsel for the company since early 2017, and in addition to general corporate advice and assistance in negotiating key contracts, provides counsel specific to long-term care insurance, focusing on matters such as claim and policy administration, regulatory compliance, interactions with regulators and wellness/age-in-place initiatives.
