Coloplast Wins Jury Trial and Permanent Injunction in Patent Case

North America - United States | North America | United States - Washington

Coloplast hired our firm to bring a patent infringement lawsuit against a start-up company that manufactured generic medical devices. Coloplast’s patent related to a surgical method for treating stress urinary incontinence in women. After a two-week jury trial, the jury found that the defendant indirectly infringed six separate claims of Coloplast's patent. The Court granted Coloplast’s motion for a permanent injunction, and the defendant ceased all business activities. Coloplast A/S v. Generic Medical Device Inc., 2:10-cv-00227 (W.D. Wa. 2012)
