Jessica Carlson focuses her practice on counseling financial institutions and corporate trust clients on corporate trust transactions, with a focus on corporate debt issuances and post-closing administration. Jessica also represents clients in commercial contracting transactions, particularly in the payments industry. Jessica‘s collaborative legal counsel anticipates and mitigates risk for her clients, providing guidance on navigating complex front-end transactions and post-closing matters. Jessica’s years of experience in-house allow her to better understand her clients’ needs and risks when it comes to protective strategy and risk mitigation during transaction negotiation. Jessica’s strong business background and sophisticated client service approach enable creative and practical solutions.

Jessica brings robust transactional experience from her work at a large financial institution and a financial services company during the past decade of her career.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Jessica was a director at Deluxe Corp., where she led a large team comprised of the enterprise contracting and payments solution engineering functions. She also previously worked at U.S. Bank as a vice president, where she managed the contract services team in the review and negotiation of all vendor contracts, including professional and consulting services, SaaS and software license agreements.

Personal Interests

Outside the office, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, exploring new walking trails, and an occasional yoga class.
