In two in-house positions, Scott gained significant experience helping companies with large real estate footprints complete myriad transactions and manage their property assets.
In over two years as senior counsel for a large franchisee and restauranteur with 200+ restaurant locations across seven states, Scott was responsible for all site leasing, acquisition, development/redevelopment and operational matters. He also provided zoning and development counsel; negotiated easement agreements and general contractor and construction agreements; and worked closely with engineers, construction managers, site development professionals and others at all stages of project development.
Scott also spent more than two years as retail development counsel for an Idaho-based retail grocery operation with more than 100 stores. In this role, he served as lead attorney on all real estate and construction-related transactions, including buying, selling, leasing, development and operational matters.
