Fred Reish Comments on the DOL’s Plans to Amend the Regulatory Definition of ‘Fiduciary’ With ThinkAdvisor

Benefits and executive compensation partner Fred Reish spoke to ThinkAdvisor about the Department of Labor (DOL) potentially issuing a proposed rulemaking to update the definition of “fiduciary.”

According to its regulatory flexibility agenda filed with the Office of Management and Budget’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, the DOL is “working on redefining ‘fiduciary’” in a new rule, said Reish. He also noted that the anticipated rule is slated as “significant” and may be finished by December.
