Ag Company's Hiring Practices Hold Up Under DOJ Investigation

United States - Iowa

Contractors not hired by a national agribusiness client filed charges of citizenship discrimination with the Immigrant and Employee Rights Section of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), alleging that the company unlawfully granted contracts to businesses that utilize workers with H-2A temporary work visas. Faegre Drinker’s immigration attorneys advised the company on the response to the charges, which were ultimately dismissed by the DOJ. The firm has advised and represented companies involved in immigration-related DOJ investigations for over 25 years.
