Owner of Airplane Access RTTF Agreement Obtains Significant Just Compensation Award

United States - Colorado

The owner of a Residential Through-the-Fence (RTTF) Easement Agreement allowing private airplane access from his home to the Boulder Municipal Airport pursued a just compensation award in a condemnation proceeding brought by the City of Boulder to close the access. The City claimed that the owner was not entitled to any compensation for the closure. Our firm represented the owner in the valuation trial and obtained an award of approximately $650,000 in just compensation, interest, attorney fees and costs.
