Four-Month Trial Gains Dismissal of FCPA and Conspiracy Charges

Following a four-month trial in United States v. Goncalves, et al. (D.D.C.), Faegre Drinker’s client obtained dismissal of all FCPA and conspiracy charges. This was a 22-defendant case brought by the DOJ Fraud Section following an FBI undercover investigation of the military and law enforcement products industry, known as “Operation Alternate Breach” and the “Shot Show” investigation. The trial of our client and her five co-defendants was the second of four trial groups, but following its outcome the government dismissed charges against all defendants.
