A public company encountered an email breach along with other internal systems stemming from a malware attack. Our firm worked with the company's Information Technology (IT) security personnel to detect and ascertain the source of the breach. Together, the company's IT security personnel and our firm contained and eradicated the malware from the systems. We coordinated internal and external messaging regarding the attack and further counseled the company regarding the satisfaction of various federal, state, regulatory and individual notification obligations.
