Overview
Tyler White counsels clients in litigation and dispute resolution.
Prior Experience
During law school, Tyler developed experience in children’s rights, education law, and public interest advocacy through clinical and nonprofit work. As a legal extern with the National Center for Youth Law, she researched and drafted a multi-state memorandum analyzing child welfare laws, examined juvenile court costs and fees, and conducted factual research supporting litigation involving the US Department of Education. As a student attorney with the Duke Children’s Law Clinic, Tyler researched truancy laws affecting students with disabilities, prepared mediation materials in disputes between parents and school districts and advised families regarding potential IDEA violations.
Tyler also served as a student attorney in the Duke Immigrant Rights Clinic, where she represented an asylum applicant throughout the preparation of his claim. She conducted detailed client and family interviews, compiled country conditions and supporting documentation, and drafted a comprehensive brief in support of the application.
Tyler served as a summer associate with the firm in both 2023 and 2024, where she researched and drafted memoranda on housing and business law matters, including Indiana’s Unsafe Building Law, and prepared pleadings in a contract dispute. Earlier, as a summer intern with Classical Charter Schools, she taught mathematics to elementary students, analyzed assessment data to identify learning gaps, and supported the school’s outreach and communications efforts.
Personal Interests
Outside of the office, Tyler enjoys reading fantasy and science fiction novels, going on long runs, and supporting the Notre Dame Fighting Irish athletic teams.
