Overview
Sara Molinsky advises and represents clients in environmental compliance, administrative enforcement and litigation matters. She guides clients through all aspects of the environmental implications of business transactions.
Environmental Law
Her regulatory experience before federal, state and administrative agencies includes compliance with regulations in the handling, transport, storage, treatment, and disposal of hazardous substances and hazardous waste. She has experience conducting environmental due diligence, leading internal audits and investigations on environmental compliance, handling property disputes and permits, and providing contractual assistance to U.S.-based energy infrastructure and property redevelopment projects.
Sara stays up to date on emerging contaminants such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and hazardous materials handling, including the deployment of updated United States Postal Service mailing standards regulated by Publication 52. In state matters, she is also knowledgeable on state extended producer responsibility (EPR) requirements, California’s Proposition 65 matters and New Jersey’s Recycled Content Law.
Prior Experience
Prior to joining Faegre Drinker, Sara was a litigation associate at a New York-based financial services firm, where she supported global corporations and financial institutions in matters relating to securities, commercial litigation, government and internal investigations, regulatory guidance, and high-profile white collar criminal inquiries.
During law school, Sara gained valuable experience in environmental law with an internship at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and as a student attorney for Washington University’s Interdisciplinary Environmental Law Clinic.
Personal Interests
Sara enjoys cooking, yoga and playing tennis.
