Kristin Jones Pierre Speaks With Bloomberg Law About COVID-19 Vaccine Attestation Requirement for Federal Employees

Bloomberg Law reported in the article “U.S. Contractors Grapple With Biden Vaccine Proof or Test Order” that businesses with federal contracts are scrambling to comply with a White House order requiring their employees to prove they’re vaccinated against Covid-19 or regularly undergo testing if they work at government locations. The article also noted that businesses are anticipating a wider mandate from President Joe Biden.

The legal industry publication turned to labor and employment partner Kristin Jones Pierre for insight on the state of workplace requirements as they relate to the pandemic. “All employers—including federal contractors—are navigating increasing complexity during the pandemic regarding workplace safety and that can look very different by industry, job and location,” said Jones Pierre.

Jones Pierre also highlights the potential impact of the Biden administration’s announcement. “My interpretation is that federal contractors should anticipate an executive order requiring similar safety protocols for their employees,” she added.
