Post-Pandemic Trials: Verdicts on What Will Stay and What Will Go

Product liability and mass torts counsel Tom Joensen and associates Stephanie Russo and Bryan Pasciak coauthored an article with Justin Kashman, senior litigation counsel at Zimmer Biomet, for the American Bar Association’s Mass Torts Litigation Section.

In the article, “Post-Pandemic Trials: Verdicts on What Will Stay and What Will Go,” the authors list practices that were developed during the pandemic in regards to trials, and discuss whether they believe these measures are temporary or here to stay. Some measures they cover include remote hearings, jury trials and witnesses, more screens for jurors, and use of sidebars, among several other pretrial and trial practices.
