Bruce Engler Discusses Minnesota's Influx of Corporate Transactions with Star Tribune

In the first half of 2015, corporate buyers or sellers in Minnesota were involved in 213 deals accounting for $43.5 billion in total value, leading the Star Tribune to call this “the strongest transactions market…since before the global downturn in 2008.” In the article, Bruce Engler, Faegre Baker Daniels partner and leader of the mergers and acquisitions practice, explained why companies have been so eager to make moves this year.

“Valuations are high, and the market is very favorable for sellers,” Engler said. “Corporate buyers have lots of cash, ready access to cheap debt, increasing confidence in the economy, and a concern that they need to supplement organic growth or risk falling behind their competition.”
