RoxAnn Mack Featured in Paralegal Today for Her Pro Bono Work

RoxAnn Mack was recently featured in Paralegal Today in an article titled, "Pro Bono Pioneer." Mack's years of pro bono service were highlighted, including her work with the Rocky Mountain Advocacy Network and Denver Project Homeless Connect. Her passion for pro bono work has won her recognition from the Colorado Supreme Court, the Colorado Bar Association and the National Federation of Paralegal Associations. Mack says she appreciates the awards, but points out that her efforts are not motivated by the recognition. "With so much bad news in the world, I think it's great to highlight the good that people do. But I would be volunteering to help others anyway, even without the praises and awards," Mack said.

Mack has been key to getting others at FaegreBD involved in pro bono work as well. She said, "Pro bono work is like an avalanche – do something good for someone less fortunate and you feel good. More and more people join in, and it spreads." Regarding her work for a veterans group in Denver, Mack said, "Sometimes there isn't anything you can do for the homeless, except listen to them, and sometimes you can make their whole day just by listening to them."
