Updates
Although some Indiana taxpayers may have received notices alerting them to changes in the assessed value for their property over the past few months, it is more likely that any assessment changes will appear on the taxpayer's spring tax bill this month. Once the tax bill is issued, showing a change in assessed value, the taxpayer will have 45 days from the date the tax bill is issued to file an appeal contesting the new valuation. It is imperative that taxpayers closely monitor the spring tax bills and be aware of appeal deadlines from those bills.
