Corporate Governance Code

As a result of the financial tsunami that swept over the global economy during 2008-09, Sir David Walker was asked to review the governance of banks and other financial institutions in the UK to assess the governance systems which might have alleviated it. The Financial Reporting Council ("FRC") decided to bring forward the Code review scheduled for 2010 so that corporate governance in other listed companies could be assessed at the same time.
