ANNA's 2010 Legislative Agenda
Washington, D.C., government relations director Jim Twaddell of the Government and Regulatory Affairs Practice Group authored “ANNA’s 2010 Legislative Agenda.” The discusses ANNA’s 2010 legislative priorities – namely, working with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on the implementation of the dialysis-related provisions in the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA), increased funding for Nursing Workforce Development programs, and supporting biomedical research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
