David Zook Explains Legislative Initiatives Affecting Higher Education

David Zook of Baker & Daniels gave an overview on current legislative initiatives affecting higher education during the University Communities Council membership committee meeting at the Congressional City Conference, according to the National League of Cities Weekly.

Zook's presentation included student loans, Pell Grants, use of recovery dollars and reauthorization of the higher education act. Slides of the power point presentation by Zook and other information about the council are available on the UCC's Web site at www.nlc.org.

The University Communities Council assists cities, the National League of Cities and state municipal leagues in the gathering, sharing and analysis of information about opportunities, issues and policies of interest to university communities, according to the National League of Cities Weekly.
