The issue of mycotoxin contamination in feed grains and forages has garnered widespread attention in recent months. Feed manufacturers and nutritional consultants concerned about the allocation of risks associated with mycotoxins can employ a number of standard procedures in their operations that will help clarify producers' expectations and, at times, serve to protect from producers' unfounded claims when their production levels fall short of expectations.
