Injury to Feelings Compensation Increased in Line With Inflation

In Da'Bell v NSPCC UKEAT/227/09, the Employment Appeals Tribunal (EAT) held that the Vento guidelines on injury to feelings compensation in discrimination cases should be increased in line with inflation.

The new figures, which are applicable immediately, are as follows:

  • Lower band: up to £6,000 (formerly £5,000)
  • Middle band: £6,000 to £18,000 (formerly £15,000)
  • Higher band: £18,000 to £30,000 (formerly £25,000).
