M/WBE Programs: Innovative Policies and Procedures
Drinker Biddle recently conducted comprehensive nationwide research examining state and local minority and women business enterprise (M/WBE) programs in order to identify innovative programs that attempt to increase the participation of M/WBEs to provide goods and services in the government procurement process. To that end, we reviewed a sampling of more than 20 M/WBE programs that were publicly recognized or were commended for effectively addressing discriminatory barriers in their jurisdictions. Based on our in-depth analysis, we identified several programs we believe offer innovative policies or procedures other M/WBE programs may want to consider implementing.
