Westfield Plan Commission Adopts New Rules of Procedure

This week, the Westfield Plan Commission adopted new Rules of Procedure. The new Rules are intended to promote a more efficient development review process by eliminating the old subcommittee process. Instead, the Plan Commission as a whole will meet twice each month (the first meeting will be a "workshop" meeting to discuss pending proposals with petitioners and the second meeting will be the Public Hearing). The City of Westfield hopes that the new streamlined process will reduce the amount of time necessary for review, benefiting the city and economic development.

The Plan Commission Workshop will be held the first Monday of each month at 7:00 PM. The regular Plan Commission Public Hearing will be held the third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM. The City also has revised the notice provisions for Public Hearings.
