E-Prescribing Offers a Carrot and a Stick
Washington, D.C., government relations director Jodie Curtis of the Government and Regulatory Affairs Practice Group authored “E-Prescribing Offers a Carrot and a Stick” in the November/December 2008 issue of The Journal for Nurse Practitioners. The article discusses the benefits of e-prescribing, electronic generated prescriptions using an automated data-entry process, and the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008, which allows Medicare to provide incentives to e-prescribers.
