This is an update to advise taxpayers in Marion County that the Marion County Treasurer's Office has announced that the 2007 (pay 2008) First Installment Tax Bill is likely to be mailed in late November with a due date in early December. The mailing and due dates have changed a number of times over the last several months, but this is the most current information available.
The County confirmed that the tax bill will be a provisional tax bill based on one-half of the previous 2006 (pay 2007) annual tax liability, because neither the March 1, 2007 assessments nor the 2007 (pay 2008) tax rates have been determined/finalized.
