Farewell SIL, the PEA is Here to Stay

U.S. Customs and Border Protection ("CBP") has announced that it will no longer be accepting Supplemental Information Letters ("SILs") effective September 20, 2007. See 72 Fed. Reg. 46,654. This popular mechanism for making changes to entry summaries prior to liquidation will be officially replaced with the Post-Entry Amendment ("PEA").
