Using Class Action Trial Plans and Other Pretrial Filings to Influence Certification

On November 10, 2015, Philadelphia Partner Mike Daly was a panelist for a Strafford CLE webinar titled, “Using Class Action Trial Plans and Other Pretrial Filings to Influence Certification."  The panel examined how class action litigators can use various pretrial filings to increase their likelihood of success at class certification.

With courts increasingly requesting trial plans from plaintiffs’ counsel, the panel examined how both sides can  use them as a strategic to demonstrate whether certification is appropriate and to improve one's position for negotiating a potential settlement.
