The Intersection of Stark Law and Medicaid Claims: A Panel Discussion of Recent Litigation and the Government’s Evolving Position

Washington, D.C. partner Jesse Witten participated in a panel discussion in an AHLA webinar on February 26.  The presentation was titled, “The Intersection of Stark Law and Medicaid Claims: A Panel Discussion of Recent Litigation and the Government’s Evolving Position.”   

The panelists discussed the Government’s past pronouncements and incomplete regulatory efforts regarding whether the Stark Law regulates the referral of Medicaid patients and Medicaid billing.  The panelists also discussed recent False Claims Act litigation concerning this issue, including litigation defended by Drinker Biddle.
