The Barbara McDowell Pro Bono Initiative 5th Anniversary Celebration

The Barbara McDowell Foundation and Drinker Biddle hosted an exclusive 5th Anniversary Celebration to honor our successful grant program and groundbreaking high impact social justice litigation initiative that has improved the economic well-being and conditions of disadvantaged persons and groups throughout the nation.

The evening featured a keynote by Honorable José A. Cabranes, who is a judge in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and a member of the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court of Review. Judge Cabranes spoke about the significant and positive work the Foundation and the High Impact Pro Bono Initiative has achieved over the past five years to honor the memory of Barbara McDowell, who served as his law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.
