Overview

Janet Fries, Of Counsel in the Washington, D.C., office, moderated a program at the American Bar Association’s 25th Annual Intellectual Property Conference. The program included panelists from technology companies and the Copyright Office who discussed issues involving copyright, trademark and advertising in new media and on social media sites. Janet, a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group, chairs the ABA Special Committee on Copyrights & New Technologies. In her role as chair, she also led a roundtable discussion of hot topics relating to copyright and new technologies.
