HIPAA Omnibus Final Rule: Breach Notification

The third in a three-part series on the HIPAA Privacy Rule, this webinar provided an encompassing examination of recent changes to the HITECH Act’s Breach Notification Rule. Obligations of covered entities and business associates were identified and discussed. The panel also provided an analysis of the changes to data breach risk assessments, the impact of the Department of Health and Human Services’ increased enforcement actions on entities, and recommended compliance actions.
