Customs Enforcement Affecting Your Supply Chain Key Compliance Strategies

Customs Enforcement Affecting Your Supply Chain Key Compliance Strategies

Overview

Chicago partner James Sawyer will speak on “Customs Enforcement Affecting Your Supply Chain Key Compliance Strategies" at the New England Roundtable & Council Of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) March 18, 2010. James, a member of the Customs & Trade Team in the Corporate & Securities Practice Group, will discuss the continued enforcement efforts by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and how importers must “remain on their toes” to avoid supply chain delays and costly liquidated damages or penalty assessments. James will address the keys to a successful trade compliance program – understanding the risks and a clear message of compliance from senior management, trade compliance awareness, communication throughout companies and proactive internal controls.
