Overview

Faegre Drinker’s Kacey Buderi presented at the 2022 Community Transportation Association of America Annual Expo on May 11. Kacey's session, "Recent Research into Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT)," focused on findings from recent research showing the value of the Medicaid NEMT benefit and its role in improving health outcomes. Highlights included research from the Medical Transportation Access Coalition (MTAC) showing the vital role of transportation in addressing social determinates of health. Her session also previewed the MTAC's 2022 research project that will focus on understanding NEMT usage by race and ethnicity and how NEMT can be a tool in addressing access to care disparities and outcomes.
