CURES 2.0: Leading Women’s Health Forward
Webinar
Overview
Nisha Quasba, an advisor with Faegre Drinker Consulting in Washington, D.C., joined a panel hosted by HealthyWomen that discussed the Cures 2.0 Act. The Cures 2.0 Act is a broad federal bill that would, in part, expand access to telehealth services. The first iteration of this bill was passed in 2016 as the 21st Century Cures Act. By the end of 2022, many of the programs that were created back in 2016 will have to be reauthorized to maintain their funding. Nisha gave attendees three takeaways from the success of telehealth:
- Many patients and providers prefer using telehealth for their visits.
- Telehealth was effective in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
