42nd Annual Health Law Professors Conference
Overview
Chicago associate Sumaya Noush spoke at this year’s Annual Health Law Professors Conference, which was cosponsored by the American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics and Loyola University Chicago School of Law. The Health Law Professors Conference is the premier conference for health law and policy academics, attracting approximately 225 professors of law, medicine and public health from across the United States. The event took place on June 5 at the Beazley Institute for Health Law & Policy, and provided participants with thought-provoking updates on issues at the forefront of law and medicine and fostered the opportunity to share strategies, ideas, and materials.
Sumaya participated in the practitioner panel portion of the Jay Healey Teaching Plenary Session. Panelists described essential skills, knowledge, opportunities, and experiences that health law students are expected to possess upon graduation in order to thrive in the legal profession. Sumaya was joined by professionals from the American Health Lawyers Association, Legal Council for Health Justice, Meade, Roach & Annulis, LLP and Ankura, and McGuireWoods.
