Hand Me the Map, Please

The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) will be one of the most challenging data privacy laws in the United States, requiring significant effort to meet the CCPA’s operative date of January 1, 2020, and its likely July 1, 2020, enforcement date.

A team of professionals from Drinker Biddle’s Information Privacy, Security and Governance team—including Washington, D.C. partner Jay Brudz and Barclay T. Blair, Founder and Executive Director of the Information Governance Initiative discussed the reasons you need an up-to-date data map to comply with the CCPA and the practical steps you can take to create one.
