Washington, D.C. associate Nicolas Guzman was part of a panel at the 2017 ABA Spring Meeting titled, “What Lies Ahead For NAFTA: Are Unilateral Changes on the Horizon, or will Long-standing, Positive Economic Relationships Prevail?”

The discussion focused on how and if, based on the laws of each member country, NAFTA can be unilaterally changed, amended, reformed or exited. The panel also addressed the implications for trilateral relations should a single member country abandon NAFTA, as well as practical considerations for businesses preparing for changes to NAFTA.
