Overview of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act

Overview

Partners Michael Daly and Michael Stortz provided an overview of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) for the National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions (NAFCU) at its Regulatory Compliance Seminar on October 10, 2017.

This discussion provided an overview of the statute, including recent regulatory developments at the FCC and recent judicial interpretations of the statute’s applicability and requirements. It also explored the potential risks that credit unions face and best practices for proactively managing them.

Formed in 1967, the National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions is a direct membership trade association for federally insured credit unions, providing advocacy, training/education and compliance assistance to member credit unions.
