State Regulations in Support of Microgrid Adoption
Overview
On March 17, Chris Berendt moderated a panel at Microgrid Markets Summit East composed of the Chairman of District of Columbia Public Service Commission, the Commissioners of the Maryland Public Service Commission and the Arizona Corporation Commission, and the Advisor to Commissioner of the California Public Utilities Commission. Titled “State Regulations in Support of Microgrid Adoption”, the session assessed regulatory and interconnection roadblocks along the road to microgrid commercialization, discussing state laws, stranded utility cost handling, ancillary services and other potential policy strategies towards wider adoption.
The Summit is a platform for military, government and utility policy makers and procurement managers to share business and technical wants, needs and requirements for new microgrid projects with renewable energy developers, energy services companies, system integrators, EPCs, energy storage companies, microgrid enabling technology companies and financiers.
