Faegre Drinker Partners With Health Plan Alliance to Launch Its Latest Medicare Advantage Consortium

Faegre Drinker Consulting, in collaboration with the Health Plan Alliance (Alliance) and the Wakely Consulting Group, announced its Medicare Advantage Supplemental Benefits Consortium (MASBC) for Plan Year (PY) 2024, including 30 provider-sponsored and regional health plans. Consortium activities will begin in June 2022 and continue through the end of the year.

According to the Alliance, MASBC PY 2024 will focus more broadly on product innovation and “MA strategic bid” work. The consortium will also provide a forum for health plans to evaluate potential supplemental benefits for MA plans and provide resources to assist plans with implementing them.

Further, the consortium model features member-to-member collaboration among community-based MA health plans across the country, data-driven case studies from vendors specializing in supplemental benefit administration, and a pilot project on supplemental benefits analytics reporting, benchmarking and analysis.

A Faegre Drinker team led by principal Mike Adelberg, who is also leader of Faegre Drinker Consulting’s health care provider and plans practice, is partnering with the Alliance and Wakely Consulting Group on the consortium.
