FaegreBD Participates in First Women in Law Hackathon

Faegre Baker Daniels joined 54 national law firms in the first Women in Law Hackathon, a competition generating innovative ideas to close the gender gap in law firms. Executive Committee member Gina Kastel served as the firm’s representative on the six-month project, which culminated in a shark tank-style pitch competition on the Stanford campus in June 2016. Kastel’s Hackathon team proposed new uses of technology, including data-based mentor matching and a mobile application to help female lawyers navigate their path to partnership. Their concept was featured in Bloomberg Law’s coverage of the event.
